Ever notice how much easier it is to be mad at someone, than to sit down with a level head and talk it out?
I’ve gotta say, this is an area I need to work on.
I’ve got no problem with confrontation and uncomfortable conversations.
But I reach a certain point, decide fighting with this person isn’t worth the drama, pain, energy – whatever – and that’s that.
So many of us use reactions like that – or others, like withdrawing, isolating, passive-aggressive behavior, and so on – instead of sitting down and talking it out.
Relationships are a part of life, and when they’re dysfunctional, it affects SO much. It can even make us wanna pig out on food to cope with them!
