Grief, Loss & Code Red
You Are Not Alone
Since the early days of Code Red, grief and loss have been recurring themes. Grief is a natural and universal response to loss, and it can be triggered by a wide range of experiences, from the unexpected loss of a loved one to the end of a marriage or a roadblock in your career.
Tragedies involving grief and loss have impacted the lives of many Code Red Rebels. One day they were proudly walking their weight loss journey, enjoying their shrinking clothing sizes, and the next, they were jolted into what felt like a black hole of despair.
Fortunately, in their darkest days, Code Red’s grief program was here to provide them with the support they needed to stay on track without derailing their progress during a time of uncertainty and pain.
Grief, Loss, and Code Red
Code Red has partnered with Larry Terherst, LCPC, MS, chaplain and licensed therapist, and Cari Thompson, MSN, RN, an open-heart ICU trauma nurse and nursing educator who has successfully followed the Code Red Lifestyle to lose over 100 lbs, to create a two-part video course called “Grief, Loss, and Code Red.”
Larry and Cari have a wealth of personal experiences with grief and loss in their respective industries, and they understand the varying reactions that these emotions may evoke and the unique challenges that come with trying to maintain healthy habits during these difficult times.
Through this course, they aim to provide support, guidance, and practical tools to help people stay on track with their Code Red Lifestyle and find hope and healing on the path of grief.
