When your commitment is leaking (what to do about it)

“Well, crap,” I thought.

My Tesla’s tire looked low again, even though I just aired it up.

Probably a slow leak…

Kinda like commitment sometimes.

As in, commitment can start to leak, too.

You start out strong with something. You’re gung ho, all in, nothing’s gonna stop you…

Until it does.

Maybe your dog dies.

Maybe your granddaughter gets busted for drunk driving.

Maybe your landlord suddenly tells you that you only have 30 days to find a different place to live.

Your old habits kick in, and you start justifying them. “Just a little here won’t hurt.” “I’ll start over tomorrow.” Sneaky crap like that.

Next thing you know, you’re WAY off from where you were and can’t believe it happened.
