Last week I got all the way home before I figuring out I accidentally bought the wrong refills for my razor.

I went back to Rite-Aid later that day to exchange them, and the clerk who helped me was amazing. She made sure I got the correct razors and paid the correct cost difference.

It took all of 60 seconds!

When I thanked her for making the exchange so easy, she said something that left me speechless (which doesn’t happen very often – as you know, I have a big mouth!).

Now, I get that she may very well have meant what she said in a customer service context.

But it still hit a nerve with me, because a lot of people apply what she said to life in general…with absolutely disastrous consequences for themselves and even their kids.
