I hear this kind of thing ALL the time.
So why is it food tastes better on Code Red?
The answer is two-fold.
The first factor is that we eat real food on Code Red. All that sugar and processed food is chemically engineered (and/or over-sweetened) to stimulate the crap out of your taste buds.
Because of that, real food often tastes dull and boring by comparison.
When you stop eating foods that are unnaturally engineered to overstimulate your taste buds, of course it’s gonna mess things up!
The second factor is that your taste buds – like any cell in your body – are dying off and being replaced constantly.
Every six weeks you have a whole new set of them!
As the taste buds used to eating processed crap start dying off, and you keep eating real food, those overstimulated taste buds are replaced with new ones that aren’t used to processed food.
Between these two factors, real food starts to taste really, really good in a pretty short amount of time on Code Red!
Some people’s taste buds are naturally more sensitive than others’, so you may or may not need seasoning for your real food to improve its taste.
And stuff that used to taste good may taste processed and nasty.
Crazy, right?
Yet it happens all the time on Code Red!
