Can’t get rid of menopause belly?

A Rebel who asked to join the Code Red network said something a lot of Code Red Rebels can relate to. When I asked her what her goals with Code Red are, she replied with this:
 
“Beat my increasing menopause belly! I have gained 20 lbs i can’t take off even as active as i am”
 
This doesn’t surprise me AT ALL.
 
Thinking you can exercise off a menopause belly is like thinking you can exercise off a beer belly caused by your liver leaking fluid into your gut. (Men with basketball-shaped bellies who drink a lot of alcohol usually have this going on.)
 
Exercise can improve your fitness and burn some extra calories, yes, but it can’t fix your liver and it can’t fix menopause or your menopause belly.
 
You have to address menopause symptoms with diet…because how you eat directly impacts how severe your menopause symptoms are.
