You’re willing to die for your kids. But are you willing to LIVE for them?

“Well, I’d die for my kids.”

I’ve heard a lot of parents say that over the years, and I’m sure it’s true.

What gets me, however, is that these same parents are often inhaling foods that lead to disease and obesity, which inevitably shortens their lifespan…and is probably not what they had in mind when they say they’d die for their kids.

Look, odds are pretty good your kids want you alive for as long as possible, which is why I’m stepping up to ask you this uncomfortable question:

Will you LIVE for your kids?

Not live as in put your needs on the back burner all the time in favor of theirs. (That’s not living, it’s martyrdom.)

No, I’m talking about live as in take care of yourself, so you’ll be around for them as long as possible, and physically capable of doing fun stuff with them.
