Your genetics don’t control this

Let’s talk about the role your genetics ACTUALLY play in your ability to lose weight.

And let me give you a real-life example to anchor it in.

Every year for the past few years, I’ve hosted a Code Red Retreat.

At most “retreats,” most people leave a little fatter than when they arrived.

But at the Code Red Retreat, my Rebels LOSE weight.

It ain’t just because my Coaches and I are right there to help with food logging; or because I don’t keep an endless buffet of food available. (That defeats the purpose!)

It ain’t the morning hikes (you can’t out-hike a bad diet any more than you can out-train one)!

And it ain’t just because they’re in weight loss mode (especially because we always have maintenance Rebels, too).

It’s because Code Red Retreats don’t revolve around eating all day every day.

Sure, there’s food. People who come are well-fed.

AND, the retreat is about so much more than stuffing your face.

We’re there to be together, to celebrate each other, to reconnect with our reasons for wanting this, to meet the people we’ve only talked to via words on a screen, and to rejuvenate and recharge with a group of like-minded people.

The whole environment is set up to help you stay on track.

But that is NOT the case in most of the world today.

Like Cari said on our Ozempic episode of my Rebel Weight Loss & Lifestyle podcast, food is EVERYWHERE.

You can’t even go to a frickin’ hardware store without rows of candy surrounding you at the checkout.

Our world is set up for UNhealth, and in our part of the world, we have more food available than we can possibly eat.

Heck, you don’t even have to leave the house anymore to get food…

Which makes it all too easy to justify curling up with your “favorite foods” and packing on more pounds to console yourself because you’re too ashamed to be seen in public.

It’s hard. I get it. (It is for me, too.)

AND what happens with you and your weight is still ultimately up to YOU.

Your genetics don’t dictate whether you eat two Dominos pizzas and guzzle three liters of Pepsi in one day.

Your age doesn’t dictate whether you go facedown in a quart of Blue Bunny ice cream.

And whether or not you’ve had kids doesn’t dictate whether you buy a dozen chocolate chip cookies from the grocery store bakery and inhale them all.

YOU are making those decisions…which means YOU have the power to make DIFFERENT ones.

If you’re not sure how or where to start doing what will get and keep you at a healthy size, I’ve made it simple for you.

I’ve put together everything you need – support, what to eat, and much more – to start TAKING YOUR LIFE BACK from fat, sickness, and misery…and you can even get started for free (and continue for less than a one-person Uber Eats order per month).
