Why do I recommend magnesium if Code Red is “no pills?”

“Pills be pills.”

Someone with an axe to grind against me tried to use the fact I recommend magnesium and vitamin D to my Rebels as evidence I’m “not to be trusted.”

The reason this person thought it would work is because I created a nutrition program that enables people to lose 10% of their bodyweight every month with no shakes, PILLS, diet foods, or exercise.

Let me break this down for you, because it’s pretty straightforward.

The pills I’m talking about in the promise above are diet pills. I don’t believe in them and I don’t recommend them. They’re a bull crap gimmick.

Nor do I advocate going crazy with pills that are supplements. Even quality supplements are promoted as quick fix gimmicks that, you’re led to believe, will magically fix you and allow you to eat all the crap you want, still lose all your weight, and yet be the picture of health.

Such a supplement does not exist. Even if you experience a few improvements, it’s still not gonna “fix” all the problems I mention above.

Yet people spend THOUSANDS of dollars a month on supplements trying to create the fantasy I mention above, all while failing to address the simple root causes:

Their poor nutrition, dehydration, and sleep deprivation.

For that reason, I do not go down the “take every supplement on earth!” rabbit hole.

What I do is help you address your nutrition, dehydration, and sleep deprivation.

Then I suggest two supplements (they have to be QUALITY, meaning have excellent bio-availability so your body actually absorbs them) to fill in a couple deficiencies almost every human on the planet has: Vitamin D3, and the mineral magnesium.

For people with really bad GI issues, I recommend a probiotic, too. A probiotic isn’t gonna do much if your terrible nutrition’s still ripping up your gut lining, but AFTER you address your nutrition, dehydration, and sleep deprivation, a QUALITY probiotic may actually improve benefits you get from real food, water, and sleep.

Do you “need” magnesium, Vitamin D3, and a probiotic to lose all your weight and keep it off?

No, you don’t.

They’re still important. They just don’t REPLACE real food, water and sleep; and they don’t “cancel out” terrible nutrition.

If you choose to supplement, go into it with realistic expectations, and choose supplements with excellent bioavailability.

Otherwise you’re blowing lord knows how much on stuff your body’s not even absorbing because it dissolves in your stomach; and/or that’s packed with inflammatory fillers that may actually cancel out any benefits you get.

For more info on why I stick with the three supplements I recommend for people who are addressing their nutrition, water, and sleep, watch my video below about the benefits of magnesium.
