Where The Battle Is Won Or Lost

Last year I was talking to a 1:1 client who was thrilled with how much weight she’d lost.

As we were chatting, she remarked she “hoped and prayed” she could keep the weight off.

A lot of people I work with have tried everything in order to lose weight. And they’ve gained it all back (plus more).

They’ve failed a bunch of times, and they project that on to my program. I get it.

But here’s the thing.

Keeping your weight off is a decision. It’s not a matter of hoping, wishing, trying, or divine intervention.

No one is gonna make you gain your weight back. If you decide you’re going to do whatever it takes to stay slender and healthy, you’ll do it!

On the other hand, if you run around thinking, “Gosh, I’ll try, but I don’t know if I can do this,” you’re probably gonna fail.

This doesn’t just apply to weight loss. It’s true no matter what you want to do.

When you make your mind up you’re going to do something, no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes, and stick with it until you get there, that’s how you succeed.

“I hope I can do this,” or “I’ll try to do this”…don’t those sound weak compared to “I’m doing this, no matter what.

Having the right mindset makes the difference between succeeding and screwing up.

Swap those negative, uncertain, disempowering thoughts out for confident, certain ones.

Focus on the outcome you want, instead of clinging to the fear of what you don’t want.

Don’t wish it would happen. Don’t hope it’ll happen.

Decide it’s going to happen, and take action to make it so. No matter what.
