“I’m too young to feel like this”

A post in the most recent 10 Pound Takedown on Facebook caught my eye today:

“Hello fellow Rebels! Newbie here. Had a hip replacement in 2021 and have struggled with menopause and my weight ever since – I’m 55, 168.8 lbs and too young to feel like this! Would like to dip below 160 for this challenge.”

This comment, especially, leaped out at me: Too young to feel like this.

Man, I bet a lot of people can relate to that. Maybe even you.

While it’s true our bodies change as we age…

That doesn’t mean that you should feel 110 years old when you’re 60, or 90 when you’re 48.

And it doesn’t mean you’re “supposed” to feel exhausted, fat, and in pain all the time.

The whole “feeling like crap is just a part of getting older” myth is B.S.

If you do feel like crap, step one is ALWAYS to eat clean, drink water, and get sleep, exactly like we do on Code Red.

Doing that eliminates a LOT of problems. Not 100%, but a lot (and more than most people expect), and it goes WAY beyond dropping fat.

Food isn’t just “stuff you shove in your mouth to feel good or have fun.” That’s how most people treat it, because that’s our conditioning these days.

But food is actually FUEL for your body and mind.

If you put garbage in, you’ll get garbage out.

That’s true no matter how much you exercise…

Or how many Ozempic shots you take…

Or many magic pills you try…

Or whether you get gastric surgery.

NONE of that stuff changes the FACT that food is your body’s fuel, which means how you feel and your level of overall wellness are directly impacted by what you eat on a regular basis.

If what you eat on a regular basis is garbage, you will feel like garbage (even if you feel good while you’re eating the food).

I’m excited for the new Rebel who posted about being “too young to feel this way” to see for herself what consistently giving your body healthy fuel can do…and what problems it may eliminate.

I’m excited for YOU reading this to experience it, too!
