“I’m only seeing what I CAN’T eat! Help!”

Let’s talk about something that’s guaranteed to stop you from EVER losing your weight and keeping it off (IF you allow it to).

It’s called the lack mentality.

Let me explain how it works.

In weight loss mode on Code Red, we remove certain foods that spike blood sugar, damage your body with inflammation, or flat-out stall weight loss in most people.

If you’re used to eating foods on the foods to avoid side of the foods list, it’ll be an adjustment. Period.

But so what? You’ll make that adjustment and do great.

(Especially since the foods we do eat in weight loss mode are so delicious and filling.)

That’s why the WORST thing you can do is focus on the foods you “can’t have.” 

That is the lack mentality, and it is guaranteed to drag you into a dark pit of despair.

This doesn’t apply to just food.

The lack mentality is anytime you focus on the not. The don’t have. The “can’t.”

As in, “I can’t have…” “I can’t afford…” “I can’t because…”

They’re all the lack mentality, and they all leave you a helpless victim of circumstance, instead of an empowered Rebel who TAKES THEIR LIFE BACK.

You “CAN” eat anything you want, so long as you’re prepared to accept the consequences.

So if you wanna eat junk and are okay with being fat, sick, and miserable, then eat junk. It’s your call!

If you’re NOT okay with being fat, sick, and miserable, then DECIDE to stop eating foods keeping you that way, and instead stick with foods that nourish; drink water; and get your sleep.

Stop thinking of it as depriving yourself, and start thinking of it as finally giving you what you REALLY deserve: Hope and healing.

Your perspective makes a MASSIVE difference in your success. It can either sabotage you faster than a room full of your favorite fattening “treats,” or ENSURE your success.

“I can’t eat that and it’s killing me!!” will sink you. (Especially since the food you say you “can’t” eat probably is LITERALLY killing you, by destroying your health!)
Instead, remind yourself that YOU CHOOSE FOODS THAT HEAL, and you are TAKING YOUR LIFE BACK.

That sure feels – and works – better than “I can’t!!”
