I know I won’t stick with it, so why bother trying?

When you fail at something enough times, a sense of hopelessness can creep in.

It can get so intense that when a legitimate solution crosses your path, you refuse to even try it.

The thought of failing again is so unbearable, your mind’s already made up you aren’t going to try because you know you won’t stick with it.

Hope is a weird thing. By itself it’s not a plan, yet without out at least a spark of hope, we often won’t take action.

There are people who feel exactly like this when they come across the Code Red Lifestyle™.

They may get a glimpse of the results and be astonished. But then they learn more about the lifestyle and realize they’ll have to actually make changes in order to get different results.

Well, they’ve been down that path before and have nothing to show for it, so no way are they gonna change again.

The soda, wine, pizza, and brownies are about the only joy they experience, and “giving those things up” for a futile attempt at weight loss is out of the question.

If that’s a mindset you’re in, and your human ego is so sure you’ll fail that you refuse to entertain the idea, guess what?

You’re right.

You will fail.

“Woa, Cristy? Where’s the motivation??”

There’s a Henry Ford quote that goes, “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.”

If you refuse to give Code Red a real shot – as in go all-in, vs. a throwaway “attempt” where you sorta do it for a couple days, then say heck with it – because you “know” you won’t stick with it, you’re right.

After all, you’ve got this library of evidence built up that you’ll just fail.

It’s funny how we project the past into our future, yet it’s not surprising we do.

Our brains are wired for survival, and they record not only our experiences, but the circumstances leading up to our experiences, good or bad.

The good ones we want to re-create. The ones that don’t feel good, we avoid.

Right now, your brain’s telling you that if you do Code Red, you’ll fail.

But it’s based on your past experiences. And if you choose to believe in those experiences, and use them as proof of “fact,” then like I said, you’ll be right. You may even think you’re giving Code Red a shot, yet without realizing it, you’re clinging to any evidence you can find that it “doesn’t work.” You sabotage yourself, or quit at any kind of “sign” Code Red “doesn’t work,” and once again validate that you’ll just fail.

Rather than go through that again, you convince yourself you won’t stick with it, and that there’s no point in even trying.

If it helps to know: A ton of my most successful Rebels came into the Code Red Lifestyle™ convinced they’d fail. Some were sure Code Red wouldn’t work. Others saw that it did, but believed it wouldn’t work for them, because nothing else had.

The one thing I hear most from people who had those mindsets is that reading the success stories, and seeing the photos of people who’ve been successful, helped them.

It helped because seeing all that proof of success, over time, lit a spark of hope – enough hope for them to give Code Red a real shot, WITHOUT sabotaging themselves.

The results came, and their lives changed forever.

If you are that far down in the dumps, to where you’re not going to try because you know you won’t stick with it, then here’s what you do.

Watch my videos. Listen to my podcasts. Read the success stories. Look at the before and after photos.

Give your brain the evidence it needs to rekindle your hope.

Don’t put pressure on yourself right now to decide whether to even give Code Red a shot.

Just focus on building up that evidence.

Then, when you realize you’re feeling a little hope again, sign up for a 10 Pound Takedown and go all-in for 30 days.

Notice I didn’t say “when you’re ready.” If you wait until you’re ready you’ll NEVER do it.

But once you feel some hope, go for it, even if you’re scared.

Honestly, you probably will be. Just know I’ll be there to walk beside you. So will my Coaches and Leaders, and all the people who’ve come before.

If you don’t quite believe it yet, lean on OUR belief in you and in the program.
