How many hundreds–if not thousands–of dollars have you spent trying to exercise your weight off?
Gym memberships, personal trainers, in-home workout programs and equipment, fitness apps, and even weight loss programs that include meal plans and exercise…if you haven’t spent a fortune on it all, you’re one of the few.
The fitness industry rakes in millions of dollars because of the annoying myth that you “have” to exercise to lose weight.
If it were actually true, and actually worked, totally fine!
But it’s a lie, and it’s one I used to believe, too.
After I took up boxing, I got into road cycling. I worked out 3 to 5 hours a day, and got to be the fittest I’d ever been.
Yet I was also the fattest I’d ever been.
Even with all that exercise, I just could not figure out what the heck was going on…at least, until I did some research and learned that I was fat because of the bullcrap I was shoving in my piehole, and no amount of exercise was gonna offset that!
Millions of people across the globe believe exercise is not only necessary for weight loss, they believe it gives them wiggle room to eat MORE bullcrap food.
As in, “I walked an hour on the treadmill, I deserve a piece of cheesecake for being so good.”
Look, exercise is good for you for a million different reasons.
It relieves stress. It keeps blood flowing to your joints so you stay limber. It’s great for cardiovascular health.
Resistance training, in particular, helps with bone density.
What exercise is NOT gonna help you with is weight loss.
If you’re still clinging to the idea exercise will help you lose weight…if you still think exercise “earns” you wiggle room to pig out on junk…or, worst of all, if you exercise out of guilt and shame, as penance for your food choices…then make sure you watch my video below.
Not only will you get some simple math that proves why exercise is NOT a way to address a weight problem, I’ll dismantle more of this annoying mainstream “exercise for weight loss” lie.
Then I’ll talk to you about what actually will help you lose weight. Check it out below!
