“I'm miserable, but that's because life is crazy right now. I'll be happy when things calm down.”
“My spouse and I aren't getting along, and it sucks. But I'll be happy when we figure things out.”
“My job is SUPER stressful, and it's kicking my butt. I'll be happy when things CALM DOWN.”
Notice the common theme, here?
“I'll be happy WHEN…”
Depending on outside forces to line up exactly how you want before you'll allow yourself to be happy is a huge mistake.
