It’s no coincidence that people with diabetes are among my most successful Rebels.
Why?
Because, on the Code Red Lifestyle, we don’t eat foods that spike insulin.
All food triggers insulin. But some triggers more than others.
A lot more.
And it’s not just sugary soda, cookies, and ice cream.
Breads, pastas, rice, “healthy whole grains,” and even certain fruits and starchy vegetables trigger a lot more.
The standard American diet (SAD for short) is a nightmare for your pancreas, the small organ that produces insulin.
People who eat carbs and sugar all day every day (even the supposed “healthy” carbs like oatmeal and bagels) are essentially beating the crap out of their pancreas.
Sooner or later, their pancreas simply can’t keep up. It starts to struggle, and then one day it finally says, “That’s it, I’m done!”
That sounds dismal (and it is), but there’s plenty of room for hope, here.
You see, our bodies have a startling capacity to heal themselves, when you take away what’s making them sick and give them what they need to heal.
That’s what the Code Red Lifestyle is designed to do. We stop eating foods that spike insulin, which means levels stay even–and LOW–throughout the day.
The pancreas has a hot minute to catch up. At last it can easily produce enough insulin to digest food, because the amount required is minimal, vs. off the charts insane.
My pre-diabetic and Type II diabetic clients see their insulin levels return to normal in as little as a week. For some it takes a few weeks. Their A1C starts dropping, and eventually returns to normal.
The Code Red Lifestyle has completely cured several Type II diabetics. And my Type I diabetics need less insulin.
If you’re diabetic or pre-diabetic, I highly encourage you to give the Code Red Lifestyle a shot. You mind find you like it a whole lot better than giving yourself insulin shots!
