What’s the hardest part of Code Red?

I’ve noticed that some people come to Code Red and start worrying about “which part will be the hardest.”

In a way, I get why. Doing things differently usually feels hard, and we tend to fixate on it.

But here’s the thing.

Fixating on what MIGHT be hard is NOT gonna help.

For one thing, it’s you brainwashing yourself into thinking something’s harder than it actually is (something humans are, unfortunately, great at doing).

For another thing, if you’re not happy with your wellness or your body size, you’re already living with what’s hard.

Meaning, either way, something’s gonna be hard.

The question to ask yourself isn’t “which part of Code Red is the hardest,” it’s “which set of hards will get me where I want to be?”

Will heartburn, bloating, and a stomachache every time you eat get you where you want to be, or will choosing different foods?

Will not being able to sleep and a fatty liver because you drank four bottles of wine a night for years get you where you want to be, or will drinking your water?

Will never being able to find cute clothes that fit get you where you want to be, or will real food?

I’m not saying you should suppress or lie about how you’re feeling, because good things don’t come from that, either.

But obsessing over “what’s hard about Code Red” is missing the point.

What’s hard about how you’re living NOW??

And what are you gonna do about it?
