What Do I Eat? September 21, 2019

This week’s hodgepodge salad includes broccoli (veggie), albacore tuna (protein), full-fat mayo (fat), and for some extra flavor, dijon mustard.

I know, it’s kinda weird. But it’s also an example of my simple Code Red-approved meal formula of fat, veggie, and protein.

Another example of that formula is steak, zucchini, and butter.

Or bacon, eggs, and guacamole.

Fat-Veggie-Protein is super-simple way to experiment with different meal configurations and find your favorites–or to add variety, if you’re someone who needs that kind of thing. (I don’t – I eat the same few foods every day when left to my own devices.)

And yes, your meals can include more than one fat, one protein, and one veggie. They can also include as little as one each. I find simple works best, but like I always say, find what works for YOU!
