Because of how prevalent processed food is in our society, when people hear me say “real food,” they have no idea what I’m talking about. Frankly, it’s a little scary.
Diet soda is not real food. Cheetos are not real food. Red Bull is not real food.
Examples of real food include:
Vegetables (actual vegetables in the produce or frozen foods section, not the tomato sauce on pizza, or onion-flavored potato chips).
It includes meat (from actual animals, not “chicken” made from chemicals and fillers and flavorings).
There’s many more, but you get the idea.
Also because fewer and fewer people understand what real food is, they look at my one-page foods list and struggle to picture how much variety and flavor they actually have access to.
