What Do I Eat? January 4, 2020

“Cristy, I need super complicated recipes that require 6 hours in the kitchen and 85 weird ingredients I have to special order!”

No, you don’t.

To lose weight with Code Red, you need a fat, a veggie, and a protein. That’s it.

The fat can be anything from butter, beef tallow, heavy whipping cream, coconut oil, and even olive oil. (To see which olive oil I use, check out www.coderedoliveoil.com.)

There are many more healthy fats to choose from out there, including foods like avocado, which is both a fat and a veggie (they’re technically a fruit, but for weight loss on Code Red, we count them as a veggie); or bacon, which is both a fat and a protein.

In this week’s “What Do I Eat?”, you’ll see my ultra-simple fat-protein-veggie meal. Recreate it or use it as a guide, and swap out my choices with your own.

Weight loss is not complicated. Don’t let all the bullcrap plans out there trick you into thinking it is!
