What Do I Eat? December 7, 2019

“Lean protein.” Low-fat diets peddle lean protein as ideal, and warn you to stay away from fatty meats like bacon and rib-eye.

On Code Red, we’re a high-fat lifestyle, but we eat both lean and high-fat meats.

Meats are one way to get your fats, but not the only way, so it’s fine to eat leaner meats like chicken and turkey.

But do NOT fall prey to the bullcrap low-fat dogma that lean meats are the only ones you should eat. If you eat them, make sure you include enough healthy fat with your meal, like I do in this week’s What Do I Eat?
