What do I buy at the grocery store?

“Cristy, what do I eat??”

It’s definitely one of the top questions I get about Code Red.

When you’re used to living off the foods on the foods to avoid side of the Code Red foods list, it’s pretty understandable. After all, you’re getting into a completely new way of eating.

One thing I wanna make VERY clear is that the foods on the foods to avoid side of the list aren’t there because they’re necessarily “bad.”

For starters, I don’t believe in good food, bad food. I believe food is either fuel, or it’s not.

So back to the foods list.

The foods on the foods to avoid side are over there because, in most people, they slow down weight loss.

It might be be because they spike a LOT of insulin, and as we know, you cannot lose weight in the presence of insulin…

Which means the more of it you spike (you’ll always trigger some, and that’s normal), the longer it takes to safely drop weight.

It might also be that the foods on the avoid side feed inflammation, which not only makes losing weight nearly impossible, it breeds and exacerbates disease.

There are also foods on the foods to avoid side that people very easily overeat.

Once you reach maintenance, you ain’t ever going back to your old ways if you wanna keep the weight off.

But you can experiment with foods on the foods to avoid side, and find what works for you.
