The Weight Loss Mindset You Need

“It’s supposed to be hard. If it was easy, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great.” – Tom Hanks, A League Of Their Own

Tom Hanks is talking about baseball in the movie quote above, after Geena Davis’ character tells him she quit baseball because it got too hard (even though her character was the best player in the league and LOVED it).

With me being the creator of the Code Red Lifestyle™ and all, it’s easy to assume I never struggle to drink my water and get my sleep; and never struggle with triggers.

But you know something?

Some days, it’s not easy, even for me.

Negative thoughts get in my head, too.

No one’s immune from them.

The key isn’t to expect yourself to “never” have negative thoughts.

The key is to call out those negative thoughts and tell them, “Hey, guess what? You don’t get to stay in my mind!”

As for my triggers, I put measures in place to outsmart them.

I chew gum, or go for a run with Annabelle, or drink hot tea.

I also start my day off with good habits (even if I don’t feel like it), because that sets the tone for my entire day. If I skip them, it drags me down.

Look, I’m no better or different than you. I pick my hard every single day, just like anyone…which means if I can do this stuff, you can, too.

Yeah, some days it’s harder than just going back to your hold ways.

But quitting when the going gets tough doesn’t do you any favors. (The opposite–it can be pretty harmful.)

That’s why you’ve gotta learn to be tougher than your doubts.

For some tips on how to do that, as well as ideas for overcoming negative self-talk and self-sabotage, click below to watch my video about willpower and weight loss.

You absolutely have what it takes to do this. Get started (or back on track if you’re struggling) by watching my video below.
