The most controversial thing I tell people

Weight loss is 80% diet, 20% exercise, right?

WRONG! Weight loss is 100% nutrition.

”But Cristy, EVERYONE says you HAVE to exercise to lose weight!”

You’re right, everyone does. Except me. Here’s why.

Several years ago I was a fat athlete. I exercised like CRAZY, at an elite level. But I was still 20 pounds overweight. It didn’t matter how much weight I lifted or how many dozens of miles I rode my bike. The fat would NOT come off.

It just didn’t make sense! I set out on a mission to figure out why I wasn’t losing weight with all this exercise I was doing.

You know what I discovered?

You can’t out-exercise a bad diet.

If you’re eating sugar, processed carbs, and other inflammatory foods, you’ll stay overweight. If you don’t believe me, go to the gym sometime and take note of how many fat athletes you see. They are fit and strong, but they’re overweight.

Then turn on a football game and look at the defensive linemen. They are HUGE guys. Super fit, super powerful, but you can see the belly fat sticking out. It’s because of what they’re eating!

I studied exercise physiology in college. I’ve trained elite-level athletes, and I was one for over a decade. I know exercise. It’s SO great, for a MILLION reasons. But you do NOT need it to lose weight. Ask my custom nutrition program clients! They lose all the weight they want without any exercise.

If you’re having trouble losing weight no matter how hard you hit the gym or how many miles you run, hike, or bike, it’s time to take a look at your diet. Check out my book, The Code Red Revolution.
