Do you eat ’til you’re in a coma, or only until you’re no longer hungry?

Do you sneak a bite of this and a nibble of that and just a few more of those?

If your kids don’t finish their meal, do you eat the rest?

If you said yes to any of these, you’re not practicing mindful eating.

“What the heck is that, Cristy?”

Mindful eating means consciously choosing every bite that goes in your mouth.

Instead of opening a tub of almonds and eating straight from it, take out a handful, then put the tub back in the pantry. Eat only the almonds in your hand.

When you’re cooking dinner, stop sneaking a bite of this ingredient and a bite of that one. Chew gum or put your teeth-whitening trays or strips in to keep you from doing it unconsciously.

Instead, wait until the food is done and you’ve filled your plate to eat anything.

And if the kids don’t finish their meal, save it for leftovers or throw it out!

Mindlessly stuffing food in your mouth adds up to TONS of extra calories.

Choose exactly how much food you’ll eat. Then stick to it.

It helps to eat foods that are naturally filling, like meats, vegetables, nuts, seeds, eggs, seafood, avocado, and healthy fats.

You’ll feel so full from less food, you won’t be able to overeat!
