Staying on track for holidays and special occasions (yes, you CAN!)

Holidays and special occasions are fun, but they also come with their share of stress. Especially holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

This is especially true if you’re determined to stay on track (rather than, for example, gain the typical 10 pounds the average American gains during the holiday feeding frenzy between Thanksgiving and New Year’s).

Look, you do not “have” to go off the rails over the holidays (or during any “special occasion”).

I know because I’ve got literally thousands of Code Red Rebels who’ve successfully navigated the dreaded holiday season, even LOSING weight during Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and ALL the weeks in between.

Seriously, Thanksgiving is one of the easiest holidays for you to succeed at as a Code Red Rebel! Plenty of Code Red-approved foods are already Thanksgiving staples.

I’m talking turkey, ham (or any other meat you make), delicious veggies, and amazing, fresh salads.

Plus, it’s pretty easy to make Code Red-friendly alternatives.

For example, instead of making mashed potatoes, make “no-potatoes” out of cauliflower.

Have fresh strawberries and cream instead of the usual fruit salad made from canned fruit cocktail that’s soaked in sugary syrups.

If you do end up with food in the house that’s tempting, send it home with your guests so it’s not sitting in your fridge calling your name.
