There’s a lot about our society that I love. People do incredibly inspiring things every minute of every day.
But there are also many things I find unacceptable.
One of the worst is the overwhelming amount of shame in our society today.
What do I mean by shame?
One example: People who struggle with their weight are perceived as lazy and glutinous, especially if they aren’t breaking their necks in the gym.
We’re also programmed to believe that if we don’t look a certain way, we’re inferior.
And though none of us want to be judged by others for not looking a certain way, we’ll turn around and do it to them! If not our friends and neighbors, then we judge public figures like celebrities.
The message that we’re not good enough is hammered into us left and right, so it’s not hard to see why we get more and more insecure.
But that doesn’t make it right…or mean we have to sit and take it.
In my video below, called “Shame OFF You,” I’m calling bull on four of the most out of control ways people are shamed in today’s society.
(One of them’s linked to a type of “illness” so many people don’t realize they have!)
