Most people new to the Code Red Lifestyle start out dwelling on foods I eliminate in weight loss mode.

“You mean I can’t have [XYZ]?”

That’s right! Over the course of writing over 1200 custom nutrition programs, I designed the Code Red Lifestyle’s weight loss mode to get the weight off as quickly as is safe. (It’s a lot faster than most people realize!)

That means we don’t eat certain foods in weight loss mode, including junk food.

Once my Rebels get the weight off, they can eat those foods again, if they’re willing to risk gaining their weight back. (Although, when my Rebels realize how good they feel off soda, sugar, and grains, most don’t want to go back!).

The real issue here is that they’re dwelling on what they “can’t” have.

Focusing on what you’re losing, instead of all the incredible things you’re going to get on the Code Red Lifestyle, like weight loss, clothing sizes you haven’t seen in decades, freedom from medications, and a lot more, is a mindset that leads to failure. I’ve seen it over and over.

But I’ve got a super easy way anyone can switch their mindset to something far more likely to achieve success.

Instead of thinking to yourself, “I can’t have that food,” think, “I can have that food, but I choose not to.”

Telling yourself you “can’t” have it is negative pressure. Telling yourself you can have it, but are choosing not to, is empowering, and takes the pressure away.

It’s also true! You can eat whatever you want! It’s simply a matter of priorities.

If you want to lose weight, and get healthier, you choose not to eat certain foods. Or, you can choose to go ahead and eat them, and prevent weight loss and health improvements from occurring.

“I can have that, but I choose not to.” It’s powerful, it’s the truth, and my Rebels who use it report that it’s saved them from caving to bull crap food on more than one occasion!
