If I can’t have it all, I don’t want it

The idea of not eating what you want when you want freaks a lot of people out. “I can’t stand feeling deprived! I shouldn’t have to give up ‘the foods I love!'” they exclaim.

Look, I get it. I ate what I wanted when I wanted for most of my life. I was addicted to Diet Coke for years.

I’m also an emotional eater. When I lived in New York I’d eat an entire pound of peanut M&Ms every single day to cope with how stressful it was to live there.

And even to this day, I make sure I check myself so I don’t binge eat when I feel stressed.

Changing what you eat, even if you understand it’s the best thing for you, often doesn’t seem “fair,” and a lot of people spend their lives in search of weight loss quick fixes and workarounds so they can keep eating the food they’re emotionally attached to.

Like I said, I get it. But here’s the hard truth from Cristy…

There’s no such thing as a quick fix.

And the weight loss, fitness, health, food, and pharmaceutical industries are making billions of dollars each off people like you, who are so emotionally attached to food–and so programmed by society’s views of food–that you can’t stand the idea of eating what you want, when you want.

But that doesn’t mean weight loss is as complicated as you’re led to believe.

The Code Red Lifestyle, in fact, is so simple, people new to it–even though they’ve bought into gimmicks like shake powders and diet pills–often wonder whether it’s “too good to be true.”

You’ll still need to adjust what you eat, especially if you want to keep the weight off.

I know that may not seem “fair.”

But is it fair to you to continue feeding your body chemicals, foods that cause inflammation, pain, and disease, shorten your lifespan, and keep you fat, sick, and miserable?

I know it’s hard. It’s exactly why I say “Pick your hard, because it’s all hard.”

But clinging to the idea you can “have it all” when it comes to bull crap food AND better health is not only going to cost you thousands of dollars in unsustainable weight loss gimmicks, gym memberships, and medical bills (if it hasn’t already), it’s going to cost you self-esteem, joy, time with your family and friends, getting to feel joyous and full of energy instead of tired, miserable, and in pain…I could go on and on.

But before you dismiss the Code Red Lifestyle as not for you because it’ll require you to make some changes to what you eat, try it.

I mean really, really dive in and give it 100%. Experience the hope and healing. Eat the rich, delicious, filling real food we eat. Lose weight with real food, water, and sleep…NOT with shakes, diet pills, diet foods, or exercise.

THEN decide if going back to those old ways that are keeping you fat and sick is really worth it. The final choice, after all, is yours.
