I only cheated once. It’s not fair my weight went up.

When I tell my clients one cheat sets you back a week, some take my word for it, and some don’t.

Inevitably, the ones who don’t find out the hard way just how true it is.

Case in point: Recently a client shared that she was frustrated she wasn’t making more progress with her weight.

Finally it came out that she ate off-plan, and it was clear she didn’t think it was fair that one cheat had derailed her progress for – you guessed it – a week.

“I just can’t believe it,” she insisted.

Here’s how I know one cheat sets you back a week.

These days Code Red does not allow cheat days in weight loss mode.

But back when I was developing the Code Red Lifestyle™, I did allow my clients one cheat a week. Here’s what happened.

They’d work hard all week to lose weight…

Pig out with their cheat meal…

Gain back all the weight they lost (sometimes MORE)…

And have to spend the next week losing it.

Cheat meals dragged their weight loss out for weeks–even MONTHS–longer than it would have taken if they’d simply stayed on-plan, because one cheat set them back a week.

My job is to get the weight off you, and cheat meals stop that from happening. So when I saw how destructive they were, I cut them from the program.

My clients’ results improved DRAMATICALLY.

If you’re someone who “can’t imagine” that “one little cheat” is enough to derail your progress for a whole week, think of it like this.

It only takes “one little spark” from a cigarette to start a forest fire.

It only takes “one little nail” on a highway to give your car a flat tire.

And yes, it only takes “one little cheat” to set your progress back a week.

If you have to learn this the hard way, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Honestly, I’d rather see you lose the weight once and for all, and do so sooner rather than later.
