How to stop eating when you’re bored

I bet my mohawk you can relate to this. You’re sitting at home, watching TV. But you’re not doing anything. Your hands are empty.

So without even thinking about it, you get up and grab something to eat – even though it’s not meal time and you’re not hungry!

If you’ve ever done this, you’re not the only one. Mindless eating, especially out of boredom, is something a lot of people

struggle with. Before you even realize what you’re doing, you’ve inhaled an entire sleeve of Oreos, or emptied a bag of chips.

Because mindless eating becomes such a habit, you may feel the urge to mindlessly eat even once you’re aware of it.

Mindless eating is just another obstacle to getting your weight and your life under control, but you do not have to let boredom – or any other emotions – dictate when you eat.
