How to make New Year’s Resolutions (and stick to them!)

So I’ve never been a fan of New Year’s Resolutions, especially ones pertaining to weight loss. Why?

It has to do with our society’s mindset about the whole holiday season.

We decide, “Oh, it’s the holidays,” and use that as a bull crap excuse to abuse food and alcohol for the last two months of the year.

It’s no wonder the average American gains 10 pounds over the holidays!

Then you feel guilty and ashamed of yourself for being so out of control over the holidays.

So you make a New Year’s Resolution to lose weight, hit the gym for an hour a day for two weeks, don’t see results, and stop going…and those 10 pounds (plus anything else you gain throughout the year) stay with you until the next holiday season, where you repeat the cycle. It’s got to stop!
