Eating breakfast out? Here are Code Red-approved options!

I’m not someone who enjoys eating huge dinners, then going to bed stuffed…

Which is why, if I’m gonna eat out, it’s usually my first meal of the day.

Eating out is an area where a lot of people new to the Code Red Lifestyle™ feel anxiety.

And yeah, when you’re brand spankin’ new to Code Red, avoiding restaurants might be a good idea for you, so you can focus on learning the lifestyle.

But I also don’t want you to spend your life in fear of eating at a restaurant, or company event, or family gathering.

The great thing about the Code Red Lifestyle™ is you can find Code Red-approved foods anywhere, including at restaurants.

For example, here are two very common Code Red-approved breakfast ideas you can find at almost any restaurant:

  • An omelette! Double check the ingredients, and if they come with sides, see if you can swap those out, but all in all, omelettes are a great option. They come in different combinations of meat and/or veggies, and are nice and filling.
  • Eggs with meat. That meat can be sausage, bacon, ham, even steak. See if you can get guacamole, an avocado, tomato, or some other approved veggie to add to your meal. Eggs can be over easy, sunny side up, or scrambled.

If you end up at a breakfast buffet, you may also be able to find unsweetened full-fat Greek yogurt, strawberries, and slivered almonds as an option. Bring a Code Red-approved sweetener (Stevia or Monkfruit) if you want, and make the Greek yogurt more palatable.

Breakfasts like these are gonna stick with you a lot longer than the usual grains, sugar, and high-starch “breakfast” foods most people eat.

And not only will you feel more full, you’ll avoid the sugar spike, reduce inflammation, and of course, promote weight loss.

There’s no need to fear eating out. Even if you need to ask your server questions, order off the sides menu, or get creative in other ways, there’s something that’ll work for you.

And if all else fails, remember: Ain’t nobody gonna die from skipping a meal!
