Do you still see “fat” you in the mirror, even though you’ve lost weight?

Weight loss is emotional for sure. But it’s also physical, and in a way most people don’t think about until they’re a ways into it.

Let’s face it: When you’re used to being one way physically for a long time, even though you’re dropping weight and need smaller clothes, your brain may not catch up right away.

In other words, you’re losing the weight off your body, but not (yet) off your mind.

You may do things like reach for the size XL even though you’re now a medium.

You may look at photos of yourself at your new size, or even at your reflection in the mirror, and still see the heavy version of you.

Is this a normal thing to experience in weight loss? And if so, what should you do about it?

I answer those questions and dive deeper into “the big girl” (or guy) mentality in my video below. Scroll down and click to check it out.

In most cases, your brain WILL catch up with your weight loss. It just needs time.

Remember, you’ve been seeing yourself at a bigger size for a LONG time. Your brain is used to it, and the change takes a while to kick in.

There are ways to help your brain catch up, and we’ll talk about them in my new video.

You worked hard to get the weight off, and you deserve to celebrate the healthy, vibrant YOU that you’re becoming. Let’s make sure “the big girl” mentality doesn’t trip you up.
