Do you have to eat foods you hate to lose weight?

In a recent 10 Pound Takedown, a person new to the Code Red Lifestyle™ posted this:
 
“Hello ladies and gentlemen! First timer here. I know a couple of people locally who have done Code Red and been successful, but I haven’t been able to reach them to talk. By full fat Greek yogurt I assume we are talking plain? 😖 I bought some today and some blueberries and strawberries. Hoping I can ‘man up’ and eat it. Maybe even acquire a taste for it!”
 
(In case it’s not clear to you, full-fat Greek yogurt is one of your options in weight loss mode. And yes, it needs to be plain–though you can add certain things to it once you buy it–because pre-flavored yogurt has a lot of added sugar.)
 
I was glad see this new person ask about this straight out of the gate, because it’s clear to me she’s done programs where you HAVE to eat whatever foods they say to eat, even if that food makes you gag.
 
For the record, we do NOT do that on Code Red.
 
Yes, you need to eat a healthy fat, a veggie, and a protein with every meal, but you get to pick the ones you enjoy from the approved options, and here’s why that is.
 
If you have to gag down the food you’re eating, you’re unlikely to stick with any program that requires you to do so.
 
Plus, it’s completely unnecessary! There are plenty of delicious options with Code Red. Force feeding yourself foods that trigger a gag reflex makes zero sense. (Seriously, if you wanna feel sick while losing weight, there’s always Ozempic…🤦‍♀️).
 
Eating foods you enjoy on Code Red doesn’t mean Krispy Kreme donuts or Domino’s pizza. Those are a no go.
 
It DOES mean that you can eat the weight loss mode-approved fats, veggies, and proteins that YOU enjoy.
 
If plain full-fat Greek yogurt makes you gag, even after you add some approved berries and stevia, skip it!
