On one of my recent Instagram lives, a Rebel asked me the following question:
“Do I have to put heavy whipping cream in my coffee? It gives me a stomachache.”
The answer is no, she doesn’t, and here’s why this Rebel asked this question.
First of all, a lot of programs out there require you to eat certain foods, even if you have to gag them down.
But Code Red isn’t like that.
That does not mean you can eat whatever obesity-breeding food you feel like. We do eliminate certain foods during weight loss mode, because they either stall or slow down weight loss–or they actually cause weight GAIN.
That being said, if one of the foods approved for weight loss mode is something you have to gag down–or, as is the case with the Rebel who asked about heavy whipping cream, it bothers you in some way–then no, you do not “have” to eat it.
Heavy whipping cream is one of the handful of full-fat dairy items Code Red Rebels can have in weight loss mode, and putting it in coffee is a popular choice, so I’m sure this Rebel was following along with other Rebels.
But again, it’s not a must-do.

None of that involves “gagging down” a food you hate. There are plenty of other options you can choose from.
My most successful Rebels eat their favorite approved foods on a daily basis, and love being able to do that and lose weight.
