For years I’ve been recommending two supplements to my clients: Vitamin D3 and magnesium.
This confuses a lot of people, since I explain that you lose weight on Code Red without shakes, PILLS, diet foods, or exercise.
What they miss is that when I say pills, I mean prescription or over the counter “diet” pills, not supplements.
I’m also very careful about discussing supplements at all, because it’s really easy to go crazy and spend hundreds, or even thousands of dollars, on supplements, and try to use those in place of eating real food, drinking water, and sleeping.
And at least 90% of supplements on the market are poor quality – as in made with artificial colors and fillers, horse urine, and rocks, instead of plant-based ingredients. They also have a very low absorption rate.
So with all that going on, why do I recommend these two to my clients?
It’s because those two are the supplements my NP, whom I really trust, said she’d recommend if she could only recommend two supplements that everyone should be taking.
