The Best Ways To Avoid Emotional Eating

Are you an emotional eater?

Me too.

What blows my mind is that, until the middle of 2018, I didn’t realize I was.

Seriously, no clue.

But looking back, I see a million times in my life when I ate emotionally…like when I lived in New York.

It was so stressful, I’d grab a one-pound bag of peanut M&Ms on the way home and eat the whole bag at once to make myself feel better. Sheesh.

You see, when you eat and feel better, you’re not imagining it.

Two-thirds of your body’s energy goes to digestion. That means, if your body is digesting food, it doesn’t have as much bandwidth for feeling emotionally crappy.

When you’re used to coping with stress, anger, anxiety, and depression by eating, learning to cope without food can be a huge transition.

That’s not to say it can’t be done. It totally can.

You can replace eating with another activity that makes you feel good, whether it’s taking a bath, a walk, yoga, cuddling with your dog – whatever works for you.

It’s also crucial to identify what triggers your emotional eating, because that awareness is the first step to conquering it.

That’s why, in my video below, I’m going to share how I outsmart my triggers, plus reveal some simple, solid tips you can implement today to get control of your emotional eating. Make sure you check it out!
