If you’re like most people reading this, you’ve spent years–maybe even decades–losing and gaining the same weight.
Around and around the weight loss mountain you go.
It’s pretty exhausting, isn’t it?
A lot of factors contribute to this grueling cycle, including hoards of misinformation, courtesy of the diet, health, food, pharmaceutical, and fitness industries.
But even learning the truth isn’t enough for some people to get and keep their weight off.
It’s frustrating, but I’ve been in this industry for over 25 years, and I see it more than I’d like.
And one of the most common reasons I see people fail at weight loss is that they rely on the “hope and wish” mentality.
As in, “I hope I can stay on track at my office potluck.”
Or, “I hope I can find the strength not to eat those maple bars today.”
Hoping and wishing don’t get the job done. Hoping and wishing are you giving your power away.
Does that really sound like something that’s gonna keep your weight off for the rest of your life?
If you wanna stay on track in situations where tempting food is around…if you wanna use what you learn on the Code Red Lifestyle™ to get and keep your weight off, then here’s what you do:
You make your mind up.
You don’t ALLOW yourself the option to do anything except stay on track.
“Cristy, you make it sound so simple!”
That’s because it is.
Many of my most successful Code Red Rebels, including several of my Certified Coaches, have done exactly this.
They made their minds up, and because they did, when they faced those situations with temptations around, there was no risk of going off the rails, because their decision was already made.
“No, I’m not eating that piece of cake.”
“No, I’m not drinking that cocktail.”
“No, I’m not eating after 6:30.”
If you wanna get and keep your weight off…if you want this to be the last time you go around this mountain… then drop the wishy-washy, hand-wringing “hoping and wishing,” and take control by making your mind up.
