Why Success Isn't "Magic"…Or An Accident

It kills me to see all the gimmicks out there promising to shortcut the journey to success.

It doesn’t help that most people have this fantasy of magically having everything they want fall into place, without any effort whatsoever on their part.

This fantasy is so strong, it can lead you to look at the most successful people in the world and assume they somehow stumbled into their success by accident.

But in my experience, that rarely, if ever, happens.

Whether you’re losing weight, starting a business, or even going to school, succeeding at what you want to accomplish comes with getting up and doing the work every single day.

It’s sitting down, making a plan, and sticking to it.

When it comes to getting your weight off, this includes things like meal planning and prep for you and your family.

Because what happens when you don’t have everything planned out?

I’ll tell you what, because I see it happen with my clients.

Sooner or later, you’ll find yourself at meal time with everyone starving and either no food in the house, or no time or energy to throw something together.

So, believing you have no other choice, you pick up the phone and order a Domino’s pizza.

And bam…a week’s worth of progress, gone just like that.

Don’t let that happen. Set aside time each week to plan out the upcoming week. Write down every meal for you and your family (even if they don’t eat Code Red), then create a grocery list to keep you from getting distracted into buying crap you don’t need while you’re shopping.

If you go out to eat, look up the restaurant menu ahead of time. Call the restaurant before you go and find out what they can do to work with you.

I know, taking that extra time sounds tedious.

But if you don’t spend that time meal planning, you’ll spend it in your diabetic doctor’s office.

There are lots of ways you can set yourself up for success on the Code Red Lifestyle™, by making simple plans and sticking to them.

For more tips on doing just that, and in a variety of challenging situations, check out my video below.

Success is not an accident. I plan all the time, and it pays off in spades. Same with my most successful Rebels.

It’ll work for you, too. More in my video below. Click it to watch it.
