“Marla” used to hate eating.
She liked the taste of food, but when it came time to digest, it was always painful.
Marla tried various heartburn and tummy treatments, but nothing alleviated the miserable pain churning in her gut every time she ate…
Until she switched to the Code Red Lifestyle™.
Within her first month of sticking exclusively with meats, vegetables, nuts, eggs, seeds, seafood, and dietary fat, along with sleep and water, Marla stopped experiencing horrific stomach pain every time she ate. The relief she felt brought tears to her eyes.
Maybe you can relate to Marla’s story, maybe you can’t, but physical pain and discomfort are considered normal by a lot of people in today’s world.
But it’s actually NOT normal.
If you feel pain, gas, bloating, and other issues when you eat, that is your body sending you a message that something’s wrong.
What, exactly, is wrong, is gonna depend.
It might be you haven’t eaten that food in a while, and your body stopped producing enzymes to digest it.
It might also be that food is destructive to your body, and by continuing to eat it, you’re tearing apart your insides.
ALL this is why I teach my Code Red Rebels to listen to their bodies.
We listen for hunger, rather than eating just to eat (because eating when you aren’t hungry is a great way to get fat), but we also listen because our bodies send us messages constantly.
If you feel great, your body is sending you messages.
If you’re exhausted, your body is sending you messages.
If you drink something and get the hiccups afterwards, your body is sending you messages.
If you’re in pain, your body is sending you messages.
And if you eat, and get heartburn, bloating, or stomach pain, your body is sending you messages.
It’s SO important to listen to, and take action on, your body’s messages.
When you dismiss them as “part of getting older,” or just assume your stomach is upset that day, you’re ignoring crystal clear signals.
If they’re good signals, like stable energy and better moods, it’s important to notice that, so you can keep doing what’s helping you feel great.
If they’re painful or weird signals, it’s even more important to notice those. They’re not happening “just because.”
And there may even be something you can do about it.
For Marla, her stomach pain stopped when she switched exclusively to Code Red-approved foods, water, and sleep.
It is NOT normal to feel pain after eating. If that’s happening with you, something is wrong.
Please don’t assume it’s normal, and don’t keep ignoring it, or trying to medicate it away.
Clean up your diet and see if that helps. Better nutrition is ALWAYS a smart moving when you’re not feeling well, for any reason.
