This helps you succeed

A few years ago I heard a saying about social circles that really stuck with me:

You rise to the level of the people around you.

My takeaway from it is, the people you surround yourself with have a huge influence over you.

This is something a lot of us don’t want to believe; we underestimate how powerful it is; or we just feel like jerks for thinking about it, because we know our close friends and family may not always be who we need to help us rise to the next level.

But it doesn’t change the reality that finding people who are better at something than you are, and learning from them, fast tracks your success.

When I got into boxing, my coach had me train with male boxers, because he knew it would make me better…and it did.

When I created the Code Red Lifestyle, my success hit a wall until I started spending more time around entrepreneurs who were more successful than I was.

When my weight loss clients struggle, they can reach out in my Facebook groups and get support from people who are already successful at weight loss.

Everybody learns from watching and learning from people who have what they want.

So if you want to be better at something, whether it’s weight loss, a skill like knitting, or even a certain mindset, find people who are at the level you want to be at.

Pay attention to what they do, what they say, how they think. Spend time with them, if you can.

Be open to learning from them (leave your pride and ego at the door), and the next thing you know, your success in whatever it is you want to do will start reaching new heights.
