Rebel victories for the week of March 27, 2021

Read this week’s batch of success stories from Code Red Rebels!

C.B. A random observation this morning…I’d lost 27lbs before thrift stores reopened (generally my primary clothing go-to).. and though I have had the pleasure of 90% success getting into 9/10s..yesterday i found myself feeling angry and ugly after the scale showed a brief 1.2lb jump.. heard myself calling myself fat..feeling rolly in the skirt I chose. So today I pulled these size 30 wranglers out of my 2nd hand stash, held them up to my body and thought “you aren’t getting a leg in those ya cow”…. and look!! No pop-over or camel toe and i LOVE how i feel in them. Sometimes (at least for me) there resides a really mean girl somewhere inside and [danged] if she isn’t determined to break me at times. Buying them…and putting them on despite the voice…THAT is a Code Red win.

M.C. – Thanks to Code Red I fit into my mom’s wedding dress! (My own too, but for a night out my mom’s was a lot cuter!)

A.J.Dang this feels GOOD!! I was going through my weight loss process last summer. I wouldn’t have been caught dead in these shorty shorts and swimming suit. I was soooo excited to go to the pool this weekend and didn’t have any fear to do so this time. Is my body PERFECT?!? Heck No!!! But I love myself inside and out. And I am sooo incredibly proud of the person I have become and for hitting my goal weight and maintaining now for the last 8 months. 31 lbs down and I am going to ROCK this summer as a more confident, happy, and inspiring woman!!

L.M.K. – NSV – CP – I’ve noticed something interesting this week. Apparently, as I’ve lost 50 pounds since January 6 (Thank you Cristy!), our bath towels have been growing as I’ve been shrinking. I used to just barely be able to get them wrapped around me after a shower, and now they fully wrap with a big overlap!

J.L.After getting to goal weight, I needed to do some serious shopping. I bought some much needed pants and shirts. I tried on so many pairs of jeans but for the first time, it wasn’t because they were too small. This time, it was because most were too big! I haven’t had so much fun shopping in a long time. These jeans really spoke to me as they say “Lucky You” on the inside of the fly (look closely!). I kept thinking about how lucky I am. I’m lucky to be this healthy, to have energy to play with my kids, to have *fun* shopping, to have more confidence, and most importantly to have found Code Red. My husband and I went on a date night to see a movie and, let me tell you, I felt *incredible* rocking these new jeans!
