Rebel victories for the week of April 3, 2021

Read this week’s batch of success stories from Code Red Rebels!

L.S. – NSV. Called to make an appointment for compression stockings to have my varicose veins fixed. She asked my height and weight. Then I asked if they would have them in stock. She said oh yes, you are in a “normal” size!!!. We will have plenty. What ?!?! Still weird to hear that.

J.M. – I am 7 pounds away from 100 pounds lost. It’s still hard to not shop in the plus size section. But today I bought size 14s. This journey has had its ups and downs and at times I still see the old me but then I see all these before and after pictures and I know I have come along way. The biggest pants are a size 24 and they were tight 10 months ago. I am now swimming in the Dallas jersey that is a 4x.

K.H.H. – NSV: I have struggled with dishidrodic eczema for over 2 1/2 years. It was especially bad on my feet. The blisters would burst and crack. It was extremely painful just to walk, had me in tears at times. I went to 4 different doctors, tried creams, ointments, salves that are too many to count. One doc wanted to put me on oral chemo drugs because nothing else was working. I decided I would rather live with the pain rather than deal with the side effects and risks of chemo. I started July 6th with my 1st Code Red challenge and have been doing CR ever since. I thought I was noticing a change in my eczema a couple of months ago but was waiting to be sure. It is now totally gone! Thank-you Code Red! I’m tearing up as I write this because I am so happy to be pain free. Oh yeah, and I am down 42 pounds!

L.R.L. – NSV it took me three days to do it but I cleaned out my garage of all the old things that weren’t needed anymore! In the job I finally got to my Wedding Dress. It has been 44 years packing it around, so I got it out. I wanted to try it on, I am after all at High school weight. I got married in September the last semester of my Senior year in High School! This has been a journey for me. I started at 239lbs and I am down 106lbs. This year has had its low points and some I didn’t think I could make it through. But with this journey came strength that I never thought I had. So this morning was the first time in all these years that this dress went on. It felt like it did back in 1976. Hubby to grand-daughter: “doesn’t Nanny make a beautiful Bride”. He is a keeper after all of these years! His smile was huge when he walked in and saw me in it! This was a day I never thought I would see! But sticking to my values, convictions and this process I see it with open eyes, ready to take on what ever is coming in my life! I am finding Joy in my Journey!!

D.S. -NSV. Well I have been over the road with my husband driving truck for the last couple of weeks. We take our food with us and are eating very well on plan. When I started this journey I wore a size 15/17 in jeans. This last week I didn’t lose any weight but I just went clothes shopping on clearance and thought what the heck. I will buy a 4/6 and they will fit soon. Well…… I tried them on when I got home and…………….. I have never fit in a 4/6 that I can remember in my 42 years of life
