How to shop for one person

Grocery shopping for one person – whether it’s because you live alone, or because you’re the only person in your household who eats Code Red-approved foods – is a lot different than grocery shopping for a family.

You’re more likely to buy more food than you need, and end up throwing a bunch out.

Look, no matter how great the bulk deals are at Costco, if half of it spoils before you can eat it, it’s money down the drain.

To be clear, we WANT to buy food that eventually spoils. If it’s shelf-stable forever, it’s WAY too processed! Don’t eat it!

But just because a food is shelf-stable doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to make it last longer.

My video below is packed with tips on how you can get more bang for your buck when you grocery shop for Code Red-approved foods.

I’ve got fruit and veggie tips, avocado tips, meat tips, and even a bonus travel tip (it doesn’t apply to grocery store shopping, but it’s so good I had to throw it in!).

Wasted food leads to wasted money. Watch my video below for grocery store money-saving hacks!
