His heartburn is gone and his high blood pressure is dropping

Steve is what I call a sleeper.

Sleepers don’t post much in my Facebook groups. They quietly follow along, then pop in with something jaw-dropping.

That’s what Steve did during my February-March 2018 10 Pound Takedown.

Out of nowhere he posted his astonishing before and after photos and his incredible testimony.

Here’s what he had to say:

“I apologize up front for the lenghth… I finally got enough courage to post. I have wholeheartedly enjoyed every part of this challenge.

“I have been on many “diets” but always seemed to gain back after awhile. Weight Watchers, Atkins, AHA Low Fat, you name it. I did my first juice fast in 1994. I used that method to lose weight whenever I got to the point that I was ready to shed pounds fast. I once fasted for 55 days and lost 62lbs – only to gain it back in a year.

“The problem for me with juicing was that I was starving myself, not getting enough nutrients, and I would get extremely weak. This last year, I knew I needed to do something. I saw a post from Leigh Ann Newman that peaked my interest. She had lost weight and was talking about a “Code Red Lifestyle.”

“I saw an article in the Lewiston paper about Cristy and wasn’t sure what to think. Around the holidays I started seeing some posts by other friends as I started checking out Code Red. After the first of the year, I stepped on the scale and realized I was the heaviest I had ever been! When I heard about the Challenge – I decided to go for it.

“I have always been competitive, and this was the motivation that I needed. So here we are at the end of the challenge.

“I haven’t had heart burn in 45 days, I have slept well every night, my blood pressure is droppin so much that I am going to get a checkup to see if I need the meds anymore, and I crave water. I thought I drank water a lot before, but now I have to have it!

“Of course my clothes fit better, and I am eating so much healthier. No added sugar, no processed foodstuff, and loads of meat and vegetables that I love! Besides the NSV’,s, my scale showed that I am down 31.8lbs since I submitted my first weight. My wife has been following the plan for the most part and is down 18.8lbs.

“My kids are healthier, and I am ready to keep this train rolling! Here are some before and after pics of me wearing the same shirt and pants. I appreciated all of the updates, recipes, struggles and victories over the last 45 days. Keep strong and #rebel on!”
