I have food allergies. Can I succeed on Code Red?

“I have food allergies. Can I succeed on Code Red?”

This is a question I get on a regular basis, and the simple answer is: Yes.

The way most “diets” are laid out, you’re told you HAVE to eat certain foods at certain times, even if it means allergies (and even if it means “gagging” down foods you can’t stand), so I get why people considering Code Red are concerned about food allergies and sensitivities.

But on the Code Red Lifestyle, we eat from a simple foods list, and you get to choose the foods you like. (The only “requirements” are that you include a veggie with every meal, and that you include healthy dietary fats so you feel full and satiated, plus get the health benefits of healthy fats!)

That means, if there are foods on the list you’re allergic to (or simply don’t like), you don’t have to eat them!

An interesting side effect of eating real food, drinking water, and sleeping on the Code Red Lifestyle is that the intensity of some food allergies (and sensitivities) may decrease.

In some cases, they disappear entirely!

So why does this happen?

Before most people find Code Red, their body’s so inflamed, and their gut and intestines are so damaged, it’s the only reason the food allergy/sensitivity developed.

It’s because inflammation is the root cause of disease and other health problems.

So if you eliminate the inflammation so your body can heal, it’s remarkable what health ailments (including food allergies and sensitivities) may improve, if not disappear altogether.

On the Code Red Lifestyle we eat very non-inflammatory foods, but everyone is different, and there may still be approved foods you’ll want to avoid if you already know you’re allergic to them.

For example, at this time I allow small amounts of full-fat dairy, because some people do fine with it. But if dairy bothers you, skip it.

Either way, you’ll still have plenty of delicious options to choose from so you can reach your health and weight loss goals – food allergies or not!

And just so it’s clear, I’m not “guaranteeing” your food allergies/sensitivities will disappear or improve with Code Red. What I’m saying is A) Don’t be surprised if it happens; and B) Eat the Code Red-approved foods you know are safe for you, and skip the ones that aren’t!
