Does being fat your whole life mean you can’t succeed at weight loss?

If you’ve had a weight problem for as long as you can remember, you probably see yourself as “someone with a weight problem.”

If so, that’s not a surprise. After all, it’s been your experience for as long as you can remember!

But does it have to STAY your experience?

Or is the belief you have to resign yourself to being “someone with a weight problem” a false one that doesn’t get to keep having power over you?

Read what Code Red Rebels who’ve been heavy for most of–or all of–their lives, yet are TAKING THEIR LIFE BACK on Code Red, have to say about it:

“I’ve battled my weight most of my life. I was always the bigger girl. I know I wore a size 16 dress to my 8th Grade Graduation. And, it went up from there. It was gradual and I’m in my late forties now and in Sept. 2020 I weighed in at 271 (size 22/24) and knew I needed to take my life back. Today I’m at 220 and just bought xl pants that fit for the first time in several decades! I am embracing the lifestyle and committed to reaching my goals.”

“I thought I was overweight since grade school. When I look back at pictures I was muscular and not fat. I was a farm girl who milked cows, hauled bales and picked rock. Thought I was so fat in high school. Probably weighed 140. Went up and down all my adult life and after having babies was about 180. Now 125-130 and feel great. Not getting good sleep for 6 months. Caring for my husband who has a brain tumor and that is just how it will be.”

“I’ve been heavy my whole life. I was stood up in fourth grade and made fun of by the teacher in front of the whole class. I weighed 212 lb when I was married. I got as high as 318 and I’m down to 243. It’s a work in progress.”

“Goodness, My actual weight “issues” started when I was in college, but I was always “bigger” than the kids my age…Mom called by “big boned”. LOL. In fact my Dad’s nickname for me was “Tub-o” (as in Tub ‘o lard) when I was a baby and it stuck into my teens – even though back then I was not technically overweight…living and working on a ranch and participating in sports keeps you burnin’ those calories for sure. Problem was, my poor eating habits and sugar addition caught up to me when I “went away to college”. After that I was the typical add 5-lb a year American and when I hit menopause it only accelerated the process until I weighed a whopping 276-lbs when I finally found Code Red (I am 5′ 3-1/2″ tall). And thank God I did…135-lbs feels SO MUCH BETTER. My Mantra is “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”. Rebel on! :)”

“Most of my life. My first diet was in elementary school.
I lost to my “ideal” weight in 2003 on an unhealthy diet and diet pills, and kept it off four years. Then started a more stressful job and started picking up supper on the way home. Tried to lose again then, but the scale just kept creeping up. I had pretty much resigned myself to fat-for-life instead of fit-for-life when I found code red. Code red has changed my life.”

“Technically since I was a girl. The women on my dad’s side are all heavy and short. My mom is tall and lean, and I started working out at her encouragement when I was 12. Fat was very unpopular, and by the time I hit high school I was working out 3 times a week at a gym, doing weightlifting for PE in high school, and making sure I only had 20grams of fat by the time I had dinner. I still had a poochy belly, even when I was 125lbs. Gained all the weight once I moved out, and have been heavy for the last 20 years. I’ve gone off and on of cutting out sugar over the last 4 years, and I realize that I feel better not having it. My shoulders don’t hurt (spent years lifting wrong), my joints don’t hurt, I think more clearly. My mood has even improved significantly. I was to the point I was going to ask for Prozac or something, my mood swings were horrendous, and I just passed it off as perimenopause. Apparently, it’s crappy food.”

“I was 14 when I was put on my first (ridiculous starvation diet by my Mom) it was the first time I was made to feel and see myself as fat/ugly, I gained 8 lbs and my dress for my sisters wedding was a bit snug. I lost 46 lbs. In 1988-1990 gained it slowly back, had 2 children and kept gaining trying diet after diet….. losing and gaining. Now I’m here and cannot believe how amazing CODERED is and unlike the other plans this actually works!!”

Even if you’ve failed 100 times, getting it right once is all you need!
