Are you prioritizing what will get you to your goal, or prioritizing what won’t?

A while back I wore what I called a “sexy mechanic coverall” jumpsuit made of denim.

It was super cute, but it proved to have a serious flaw.

I drink a lot of water anyway, and with all the exercise I’m doing for my bodybuilding comeback (at the time of this post), I’m drinking even MORE in order to stay hydrated.

That means more trips to the bathroom…which means removing my jumpsuit from the shoulders on down, since it’s all one connected piece of clothing.

It’s SO stiff that I have to practically dislocate a shoulder to get the thing off!

So as cute and comfortable as it is (when I’m not trying to take it off), I finally got fed up and changed into something easier to pull down.

See, I’m sure as heck not gonna back off on my hydration just to avoid the discomfort of wiggling in and out of that jumpsuit multiple times a day.

Staying hydrated is more important to me than “looking cute in my sexy mechanic jumpsuit.”

It was another simple reminder that getting what you want is all about prioritizing.

With every choice you make related to your goal, you’re either prioritizing what will get you there, or prioritizing what won’t. There’s no avoiding it.

Yeah, it can mean “missing out” on stuff sometimes, but so what? No one can do EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME. There’s not enough time for that.

So it’s either miss out on activities that delay your goal, or miss out on your goal. Which result do you want more – to never hit your goal, or to finally get there and get what you said you wanted?

For me, I wanted to get my water in more than I wanted to look like a “sexy mechanic” (haha).

And speaking of getting your water in, something that helps – besides NOT wearing a stiff jumpsuit – is drinking from a water bottle you absolutely LOVE.
