I wasn’t gonna water down my message just because I was talking to teenagers at this school assembly in Kooskia, Idaho. I also wasn’t gonna talk down to them. Kids are smarter than we give them credit for, and I told them some truths I wish somebody had told me when I was their age. This is the first 10 minutes of my speech to the entire Clearwater Valley Junior/Senior High School.
Maycee, at age 11, was enduring headaches, moodiness, foot pain that required custom shoe inserts (at age 11!), and hyperinsulinemia (which was going to become diabetes if something didn’t change). She was also struggling with being overweight. Maycee’s doctor put her on a low-fat, healthy whole grain diet. But it wasn’t helping. Then Maycee’s Mom, Brandie, found out about the Code Red Lifestyle. The whole family joined, and Maycee even took my Code Red Kids pledge. Watch my interview with Maycee to hear not only how much weight she lost, but what astonishing effects the Code Red Lifestyle’s had on Maycee’s health, weight, and life!
I was bullied as a kid. In today’s world, with the Internet and cell phones, bullying is even more of a problem. I filmed this special video for kids to help them understand that when somebody says something cruel to them, it’s not about them at all.
